Graphic Design Intern

Role Overview

Our graphic design intern will work closely with our creative director and founder to learn and understand our branding. They will be responsible for creating graphics within those guidelines that fit the Duke & Winston brand. 

Examples of design projects:

  • Website Banner Images
  • Social Media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • E-mail Blasts 
  • Store signage
  • Collateral design - Flyers, hangs tags, packaging, stickers, promotional posters, etc.
  • Window decals
  • Editing art files to submit to screen printer

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior/Senior in College
  • Portfolio must be submitted
  • Able to dedicate 20-25 hours weekly in house
  • Technical skills: Adobe design programs, photography

Social Media Intern

This internship will give you an opportunity to manage all Duke & Winston social media channels. Working side by side with our Social Media manager you will be an essential team member in developing our Duke & Winston brand voice and a cohesive brand image throughout all channels. 

Role Overview

  • Post to Social Media accounts using the Duke & Winston brand voice
  • Post to our antique shops instagram, Duke’s Library
  • Work with Social Media manager to develop strong visual branding on Instagram
  • Manage Social Media campaigns
  • Track analytics for all channels
  • Blog posting
  • Blog list and outreach
  • Maintain company social media calendar
  • Drafting press releases 

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior/Senior studying Marketing, advertising, or related major
  • Strong copy writing skills (please submit examples)
  • Social media experience (please submit examples)
  • Able to dedicate 20-25 hours weekly (including attending various events)
  • Photography skills are a plus

Marketing & Events Intern

A Summer 2015 marketing and events internship at Duke & Winston includes planning events like our Bulldog Parade and our big one year anniversary party (we had 300 people attend our grand opening). On the marketing side we like to think outside of the box…so your creativity has no boundaries. You will have opportunities to be apart of our company marketing meetings and have a voice in developing campaigns.

Role Overview

  • Assist Store Manager and Marketing Manager on all event planning
  • Attend all events to follow through on execution
  • Assist marketing manager with all street level marketing campaigns 
  • Collaborate in team meetings on out of the box campaigns
  • Organizing our monthly events calendar 
  • Create Duke & Winston invites
  • Drafting press releases 

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior/Senior studying Marketing or Event Planning
  • Event planning experience is a plus
  • Able to dedicate 20-25 hours weekly (including attending on average one event a week usually on the weekends)

Office Operations Intern

Our office operations assistant will work as the Business Managers right-hand helping to develop organization and oversee timely completion on projects across all channels of the company. You will be responsible in organizing our weekly meetings and distributing meeting notes. In this internship position you will be an essential team member in keeping Duke & Winston operations running smoothly.

Role Overview

  • Assist business manager on planning weekly meeting and organizing companies to-dos
  • Manage company listings including Linkedin & Angel List
  • Working with business manager to create operational systems Wholesale department
  • Maintain our production, buying, and sourcing documentation 
  • Responsible for taking meeting notes 

Requirements 

  • Must be a Junior/Senior 
  • Able to dedicate 20-25 hours weekly 
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
