An amazing antique (ca.1899 - 1900) Sterling Silver Vesta Match Case made during the 2nd Boer War as a patriotic keepsake.

Accented with an enameled emblem featuring a bulldog and the British Union Jack. Engraved with a patriotic motto: “What We Have We’ll Hold”.

• Made in England c.1899 - 1900 (Acquired in 2010)
• Marked “Sterling” and maker marked.
• Size: 1.5 inches wide x 2.75 inches tall.
• Condition: Very fine. Light dings and signs of wear that can be expected from age.
